Sport Fishing Vessel Pacifica Runs Aground in Mission Beach, CA

This morning(June 28, 2019) the sport fishing vessel Pacifica out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego ran aground in Mission Beach.  The 65-foot sport fishing vessel struck land at roughly 4:45am, according to the San Diego Police Department.  SDPD stated that there were 21 people aboard the vessel including Captain and crew when it struck ground.  One passenger stated that the anglers were awoken from their bunks and had to wade to shore.  Officers said medics were requested to the scene, but no word if any injuries were sustained.  The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
